SPICY JALAPEÑO HUMMUS AND ZAATAR FILET MIGNON

Explore Middle-eastern flavour with a home-made jalapeño hummus, topped with a Smoke Show Zaatar rubbed filet mignon. This can 100% be enjoyer as it’s own meal, but we like to serve it as an appetizer. Watch us make the recipe here.

Ingredients


  • Smoke Show Hot Sauce [add link]
  • Smoke Show Zaatar
  • 1 small filet mignon (6 oz.)
  • 1 can chickpeas 
  • ⅓ cup tahini
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Sunflower seads 
  • 1 hot pepper (ideally a jalapeno) thinly sliced
  • Mint
  • Olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt & Pep

     

    Steps


    Start by dicing and marinating your steak in salt, pepper, olive oil and our Smoke Show Zaatar. Put aside.

    In a blender, add your chickpeas, tahini, garlic,olive oil, lemon juice and Smoke Show Jalapeno Hot Sauce.

    Over medium heat, sear your steak to your desired finish and let sit for 5 minutes.

    Over the hummus, add your steak, sunflower seeds, thinly sliced hot pepper, mint and salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil. 

    Serve immediately, ideally with pita bread.
